Why high-availability IT infrastructure, now?

As AI, generative models and real-time analytics workloads run on the same network as legacy business systems, traffic patterns look nothing like they used to. When large-scale model training traffic mixes with OLTP business traffic, load balancing and DNS responses slow down, and the traditional practice of managing thousands of IPs in a spreadsheet has already hit its limit. A single DNS or DHCP outage taking down company-wide operations is no longer a rare event.

Expernet's IT infrastructure solution automates L4/L7 load balancing, WAF and SSL acceleration with F5 BIG-IP, and DNS, DHCP and IPAM with Infoblox DDI, while Riverbed SteelHead and Alluvio deliver WAN optimization and performance visibility. Combined, these three achieve three goals at once: fast service response, a stable network foundation, and immediate root-cause identification when something goes wrong.

Expernet holds extensive experience delivering load balancing, DDI and WAN optimization across finance, public-sector and enterprise environments. When modernizing legacy infrastructure, we support the full lifecycle — non-disruptive migration, redundant architecture design, integration with AD/SIEM and ongoing incident-response operations.

Common struggles for infrastructure teams

Server response drops under traffic spikes
Traffic concentrates during events and campaigns, overloading specific servers — a recurring cause of outages.
Slow response at overseas & regional sites
ERP and groupware response lags across the WAN link between headquarters and branch offices, hurting productivity.
The limits of spreadsheet IP management
Manually managing hundreds to thousands of IPs in Excel invites conflicts, errors and audit headaches — and a DHCP failure risks taking down every service.
Explosive unstructured data growth
Backup data, logs and media files grow exponentially, and NAS keeps hitting its ceiling.
The burden of SSL/TLS certificate management
Manually managing renewal and deployment for hundreds of certificates leads to outages when one quietly expires.
Performance & cost issues after cloud migration
On-premises apps moved to the cloud often see degraded performance and unexpectedly high traffic costs.

F5 BIG-IP ADC L4/L7 Load Balancing · SSL · API Security

F5 BIG-IP ADC

BIG-IP LTM intelligently distributes server load, while APM unifies SSL-VPN, MFA and SSO. iRules enable precise traffic control, and GSLB implements global DNS-based load balancing.

  • L4/L7 load balancing — health checks and session persistence
  • SSL offloading removes CPU burden from servers
  • APM — unified SSL-VPN·MFA·SSO access gateway
  • GSLB — multi-datacenter DNS load balancing

Featured Outcome
Global portal BIG-IP deployment
L7 load balancing raised peak-traffic capacity 5x without adding servers. SSL offloading improved server response time 40%.
Riverbed SteelHead & Alluvio WAN Optimization · NPM · APM

Riverbed SteelHead & Alluvio

Deduplicates and compresses WAN-bound data to boost transfer efficiency up to 10x — without adding leased-line capacity. Alluvio monitors network and application performance end-to-end.

  • Data deduplication (RDSH) cuts WAN bandwidth needs
  • TCP optimization improves response over high-latency links
  • Alluvio NPM — NetFlow and packet-based network visibility
  • Alluvio APM — real-time user experience (UXM) measurement

Global manufacturer ERP optimization
SAP ERP response across 30 overseas sites improved 10x after SteelHead deployment — cost savings realized without adding leased-line capacity.
Infoblox DDI DNS · DHCP · IPAM Automation

Infoblox DDI

Automates DNS, DHCP and IP address management on a single platform. BloxOne Threat Defense analyzes DNS queries to block C&C traffic, phishing and malicious domains, and APIs connect IPAM with ITSM/CMDB.

  • IPAM automation — fully replaces spreadsheet management
  • Redundant DHCP failover ensures service continuity
  • BloxOne Threat Defense — DNS-based threat blocking
  • REST API integrates natively with ServiceNow, Ansible

Migrated a manual IP management system to Infoblox. Redundant DHCP achieved zero service outages and cut IP allocation errors 95%.
Cloudian HyperStore Object Storage · S3 · WORM

Cloudian HyperStore

Fully S3-compatible object storage stores backup, archive and AI data economically. Simply add nodes to reach petabyte scale, with WORM delivering immutable storage against ransomware.

  • 100% S3 API compatible — no code changes required
  • Linear expansion from petabytes to exabytes
  • S3 Object Lock (WORM) — ransomware and compliance ready
  • Native integration with Veeam, Commvault and other backup tools

Deployed Cloudian HyperStore after hitting NAS limits — 60% storage TCO reduction with non-disruptive MAM integration via S3 API.

Business Impact

The outcomes you can expect from an IT Infrastructure & Load Balancing deployment.

5x
Peak traffic capacity
F5 BIG-IP L7 load balancing raises capacity 5x without adding servers.
10x
Faster WAN response
Riverbed SteelHead deduplication dramatically improves overseas-site performance.
95%↓
Fewer IP allocation errors
Infoblox DDI automation fully replaces manual IP management.
40%
Faster server response
SSL offloading removes CPU burden from servers.
60%
Storage TCO reduction
Cloudian HyperStore object storage costs far less than NAS.
L4 load balancing distributes traffic based on IP/port. L7 load balancing analyzes HTTP URLs, headers, cookies and content for far more precise traffic distribution and manipulation — essential for API gateways and microservices environments.
SD-WAN improves WAN performance through link bonding, QoS and path optimization, but it doesn't provide the compression benefit of Riverbed SteelHead's data deduplication (RDSH). SteelHead deployed alongside SD-WAN is effective on high-latency, long-haul links.
NAS is file-system based (NFS/CIFS) and well-suited to structured data, but performance and cost issues emerge past a few hundred terabytes. Object storage, built on HTTP(S3) APIs, scales unstructured data without limit at a much lower cost per capacity.
Infoblox supports Active-Active or Active-Standby DHCP redundancy. If one node fails, it fails over automatically so IP allocation service is never interrupted.
